Require insurance for gun owners. You want an AR 15? It would be just like driving a sports car, higher premiums.
-
There should be a fund set up for victims of gun violence paid for by Insurance premiums of gun owners..why should victims be saddled with huge medical bills because our politicians are owned by the
#NRA and people aren’t responsible for their weapons - 2 more replies

Rep. Swalwell, I'm not a constituent, but I wish I were. I am a big fan. Rather than ban assault weapons (because the definition is ambiguous), strengthen the process to buy a gun. Many states have the process already in place–CCW permits. That's how hard it should be.
-
After Parkland, I bought a G19. It was only mildly more difficult than buying a pair of pants. I got training, and my instructor told me to apply for a CCW, which I did. I can hit as many targets as the guy next to me with an AR–just as fast. Wouldn't want to get hit with either.

"The Constitution preserves "the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation...(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms."~James Madison
-
And you know, in America, where the citizens are armed, they use those arms to murder one another at a higher rate than some third world countries. So let's stop pretending this is a *good* thing, okay?

The 2A doesn't state every Yahoo should have a gun anyway it says that there should be a state militia that should be armed and both with muskets
