Not that they will do it! The NRA has to be forbidden to make political contributions. That will make Congress grow a spine.

You may have hit the nail squarely on the head. I believe a former US prez warned about big biz & special interest groups being allowed to donate to campaigns.

Enough is enough. There is no reason for weapons like this to be used outside of police and military actions.

People who voted 'no' need to give an explanation as to WHY on earth any private citizen needs to own an assault rifle. But oh.. wait.. they can't.
-
because there is no such thing as an assault rifle. It's a meaningless term used to scare people. Is my .243 an assault weapon? How about if it was sleek, black and looked scary? Then would it be? It wouldn't be any more powerful

Team up w Law Enforcement (a typically conservative group) on this Rep Swalwell, they don't want to be overpowered w this type of firepower, nor do they wish to allow the carnage of our children to continue. Enough is enough!

Completely agree. Democrats need to work directly with teachers unions, police & sheriff groups - combined could be more powerful than the NRA.

Yes. Again!! Why did the assault weapons ban last only 10 years. Ludicrous it was not permanent. Please bring this up daily. Weekly. All year. Not just for a few days after shooting!
-
Unfortunately shootings are happening weekly all year.
