As a former prosecutor, I don't think you should be weighing in on jury decisions unless there is an obvious miscarriage of justice. Is there? or is this political?

Wait, what? The case has already been decided, it is precluded from being tried again. Plenty of politicians weigh in on jury decision.

How often do you disagree when black men are gunned down in the streets and police officers walk because they feared for their life....

We aren't talking about black men, we're talking about an illegal who should've been deported 5 times killing a 32 year old woman!!!! Pick another page to argue your grievances about that!!!!

Wanting a different outcome doesn't mean the verdict is unjust or the process was unfair, nor does it give a politician w/ a platform the right to publicly undermine the Justice system: also, God isn't real. Sorry.

This is gross. You didn't hear the case, didn't hear the jury instructions. Plenty of experts arguing the prosecution overreached, probably due to political pressure. Your last sentence is fine.

Yeah, but people die in accidental shootings every day, and they aren't necessarily charged with murder in any degree or manslaughter. It really is about accurate charges for the evidence. You've probably served on a jury as I have. The law is the law.
-
Agreed...the law is the law. As in, the law that says he wasn't allowed in the country to begin with.
