Dean Baker on KPFA today said there will be a massive increase in the deficit. Also middle class tax cuts expire while corporate cuts will not. Many middle class and working class taxpayers will see taxes go up due to the end of many deductions we take.

What I fear is that just as soon as the deficit shoots up the Republicans will implement the "starve the beast" strategy and insist on cutting everything but the military. And that includes Social Security and Medicare.
