I put “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be” in my daughter’s kudoboard for her high school graduation. She’s voted democratic yesterday and still talking to me, for now. Good parenting.

My minister husband reads that book every year on Mother’s Day as a children’s sermon. He even sings the words the mom and then the son sings. He cries too. Every. Single. Time. (I personally think it’s sad but also rather creepy.)
