It’s easy to look at partygoers in #lakeoftheozarks or domestic terrorists hanging the Governor of #Kentucky in effigy and believe this is who we are. It’s not. We can’t ignore these savage acts, but they don’t define us. We are good, kind people. We are the (THREAD 1 of 2)

janitor who works back-to-back shifts to keep the hospital clean. The grocery stock clerk working when no one is looking to keep food on the shelves. & the soldier standing guard 10,000 miles from here to keep us free. That’s who we are. Don’t let anyone else steal our identity.

And a TON of people just quietly staying home except for TRULY essential outings, and wearing masks when they do go out, and doing all the hand-washing and everything else. It's not showy, and it doesn't shock the senses, and it's the new normal...so it's not what makes "news."

I’m with you Christie! We have an ER doctor and two nurses in the family. Those who still think this is a hoax are in for a very big, tragic surprise. We are the silent majority. We will come forward on November 3

Small acts of kindness. Went to a dollar store-no paper towels or napkins. But a young woman working there offered to check a truck that hadn't unloaded yet. She brought out paper towels and offered me a rare item, Clorox wipes. She's could've just said "Sorry, all out." Grace.

Or those who work to pick up our trash & recycling during the pandemic. They seem to get little recognition & no extra pay. Meanwhile, people like my son-in-law, who manages a large recycling plant, awaits the results of his Covid-19 rest. My 7 year old grandson is also ill, btw.

This is very nice & true. It would be encouraging, however, to those good people if something were actually done to stop these outrages against public welfare, like arresting them & confiscating weapons. Domestic terrorists need to be treated as such. Tired of handwringing.
