I know this doesn’t sound like much, but my state of Oregon is sending 140 ventilators to New York. I realize it isn’t enough, but I’m proud my state could help. I hope we are able to help with PPE equipment also!!! #StrongerTogether

Thank you! CA is 3 weeks behind NY. Our surge is impending. 40M population. CA has gotten moldy masks & broken ventilators from Trump. Gov Newsom just puts his head down & keeps working. We need states that have low cases to help NY. We r trending way up now. 😢

Shameful this needs to be asked. The federal government is responsible for aiding states yet have done the opposite. FEMA instead of interrupting the supply chain has decided to bid against states that are in desperate need. #incompetentInChief

Every university should be ordered to go through their inventories in science and medical /veterinary labs and donate to local hospitals - in Ohio - Miami U did thishttps://www.miamioh.edu/news/top-stories/2020/03/miami-labs-donate-ppe-to-area-hospitals.html …

CA is 3 weeks behind NY with our surge, this is not “surplus”, it’s that we’ve flattened the curve enough to buy time to get supplies for when it hits. This is Phase I supplies - we have not met the needed goal: we are working on it — the Gov gives us the numbers daily.

I have been making masks for medical professionals and mailing them all over the US. Though my part is very small, collectively, we can make a big difference!

Have the able and willing people who are recovered from Covid-19 take classes to learn about how to use and operate a ventilator...and other basic nursing functions. They are immune after recovering right? That would save a BUNCH of PPE. Only have Dr come in if absolutely needed.

We do not yet know if there is lasting immunity after recovery from COVID19 or if reinfection is possible. Last I read (last week) there were also 8 known mutations.
