Stanford Med, 1 of the top 10 hospitals in the US has been at the forefront of this fight. It’s not in the news but I follow them regularly, so I know. People need to listen to doctors and scientists, the pols are just scenery at this point.

@RepSwalwell this is the same Stanford Medical who billed me $809 for a routine blood test that@LabCorp would have charged $47. Non-emergency, by a Stanford Family Physician (my primary care physician) not at the hospital. Their answer to the 1621% market? -

@StanfordMed first replied “we billed at the hospital Out-Patient rate”. I wasn’t an Out-patient of the hospital. Next reply “operating and overhead cost are higher”. The machine used to process the sample is the same. How many people am I supplementing with price gouging? - 1 more reply
