It's not that easy. As an employer, we give a minimum of 4 weeks of PTO per year. Not all Americans are as fortunate as our employees. Might I suggest putting forth a bipartisan bill allowing employers who offer paid sick leave during this time a tax break?

Might I suggest a bill that mandates that employers allow people who are sick can stay home, and that this doesn't count as "PTO"? Why give tax breaks when you can just treat people like human beings instead?

This isn't Norway/Sweden/Finland/or a few other places. We DGAF about guaranteed vacation/mat/pate/mental time off for hourly. TTBOOK, COVID-19 doesn't confer immunity. Reinfection is real. I wear masks for peace of mind, b/c aholes around/upwind cough/spit/emit w/o warning.

"Staying home" will not help anyone living paycheck to paycheck. Better for them to wear masks than infect everyone else.
