47 years ago, #RoevWade affirmed that access to safe & legal abortion is a constitutional right. Today, 73% of Americans oppose overturning Roe, & so do I. I will always defend a woman's right to make the health care choices right for her body & I will always fight to #ProtectRoe

I once met a young woman w/3 children, trying to find a ride to an abortion clinic only about 40miles from her small town. Hubby was abusive, not enough money for the ones they had. She needed to have it before he got home, because "he would kill her." I gave her the ride.

Didn't expect the response, so I would like to say why this young woman's right to abortion was so important. Too poor for birth control, or a car, hubby doesn't take "no sex", thus forcing her to be even more tied to him. She was terrified he would find out.I was too.Hope shewas
