BREAKING / NBC News: Former National Security Advisor Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn has withdrawn his guilty plea, court filings say. His attorneys say prosecutors broke their side of the plea agreement and so they need to withdraw his plea.

I say all of this as a former prosecutor. With deep respect for reporters who cover the courts. And understand the interpretation.
-
In hindsight, I wish I had added "has asked to withdraw" from my original tweet because I understand the confusion and that most people are unaware that to withdraw a plea requires judicial approval. I appreciate everyone's feedback.

It certainly should not be approved.

That was the judge who came close to throwing him in prison in Dec 2018.

Would this be the same judge who accused Flynn of treason the first time he was going to be sentenced? Sounds like Flynn has a Trump pardon in his pocket.

Then what? What is the goal for withdrawal?

If the judge doesn’t approve a guilty plea then he’s done. Also based on what former prosecutors
@renato_mariotti and@RepSwalwell are saying the judge Sullivan MAY significantly increase his prison sentence. -
my guess is Sullivan is pretty fed up with all of Flynn's shenanigans
#LockHimUp and make Trump pardon him
