  In the U.K. women get up to 52 weeks, and it is compulsory to take two weeks after giving birth, 4 if you work in a factory. Couples can opt to share 50 weeks leave between them.

  I just met a couple from Canada while vacationing in Maui. They are with their little baby, staying for a month. Dad has 6 months paternity leave and mom has 18 months, very lovely, happy little family.
