I am an active member of a group that advocates for gun safety legislation, but these are military bases. These are the people we supposedly want to have the guns. The problem here is military culture. Unless we address psychological issues and pressures within the military...

It's illegal to carry on a base, unless it's a base weapon specifically tracked/logged who has/can access it. Most personel are not armed and would have to rely on the base police or armed personnel to stop the shooter. Shooter would most likely have smuggled the weapon in.

They don't allow individuals to Conceal Carry on any Military Base that I have been on! Big Sign at the gate at one I go on often states it in big bold letters!

We continuously say "we can't wait any longer" but we continuously wait and wait and wait. The GOP and its partner in crime, the corrupt, but powerful NRA, owns the US Senate and virtually every southern Senator bends to their evil will. There's little chance of any success.
