The President sets the foreign policy for the United States. Period. So what does it say that so many didn’t want to follow it? They knew his shakedown scheme was wrong. He may set the policy, but they’re not bound to follow a lawless order.https://twitter.com/ByronYork/status/1196091316280713216 …

Bribery and extortion are not foreign policies.

Bribery is against the Constitution and abuse of office. It is high crimes under the 2015 GOP impeachment articles. Doesn't matter if it is foreign or domestic.

Nothing about Trump's bribery and extortion scheme can legitimately be called American foreign policy because it had zero to do with US national interests. It's not foreign policy just because the president comes up with it. 1/2

Legit foreign policy is not something you have to hide the evidence of on a super-secure server, nor is it something you must use an irregular channel to conduct. The fact that Trump did both is evidence he knew it wasn't legit foreign policy, knew it was wrong, illegal, bribery.

Eric that’s some seriously weak tea. If they do not agree with the president’s foreign policy, they can either not vote for him in the next election, not vote for him, voice their objection or resign. What they cannot do is subvert the president.

The President's foreign policy can not be against National Security or National Interest. It can't be for his personal gain or corrupt. Also, the President has to follow his own policy, he can't change it as he goes. People are in place and policies are written. 1/2

It is completely illegal to follow an illegal or immoral order. They beat that in to us in Basic Training. Soliciting bribes, foreign interference, foreign propaganda against US citizens. All illegal. People had a duty to call it out. Some brave ones have.
