I actually don't like his tweet. But I think it's disingenuous to call it a death threat. It's the equivalent to "come and take it." It's provocative, but really doesn't come close to a "death threat" imho. Certainly not enough to justify taking away a constitutional right
He knew what he was doing. And there’s a better, more civil way to engage on this. You and I have shown that.

You know I 100% agree with you on that point. He did it for RTs. I’m just saying it isn’t a credible death threat that justifies revoking his Right to own a gun.

We have a serious problem w people veiling their meaning or intent behind tricky wording these days because we’re communicating through typed words. It would be a far more manly thing to do to let common sense rule here. We can’t make excuses for this type of bullying. It’s weak.

Seriously, it was no more a threat of violence than "we are going to take your gun whether you like it or not." How else could you take it if I don't allow you to?

Saying you’re not going to allow it implies using force to prevent it. How else would you prevent it from being taken? Baking a cake? A really big magnet? Besides, why all the hoopla over one silly gun when there are so many others that are perfectly reasonable for a civilian?
