I want to push back on the assertion that there's a "right" or "liberty" to own an AR-15. No one is talking about banning all guns; people can still buy handguns, rifles, and shotguns. The Second Amendment doesn't prevent the govt. from saying civilians can't own weapons of war.

Constitution > government. The bill of rights is a set of negative liberties against the government so that the people will remain free. The constitution was never meant to apply to the people, but to handcuff the government from assaulting its people.

'Democratic means' - no. Amend the constitution, and then we'll talk. You are a turncoat. A traitor to your oath.

A militia was intended to supplement a regular military, not mow down people at Walmart or kill babies in kindergarten. War weapons are not needed.
