It's a shame that the bystanders weren't allowed to open carry guns so they could fire back instead of waiting for the police to respond... We need more guns not less

This is America, people will always have guns. Laws can’t regulate culture. Reform is definitely worth a try though, it’s better than doing nothing.

They are already banned in California, and only make up a very very small percentage of gun crimes there and across the nation. Can't ban everything, a littke known document called the constitution gets in the way....

CA is one of 11 states with strict gun laws/policies. CA being the most strict. It’s time to find where the breakdown in the value and respect for life has gone and how to get it back.

I’m still dumbfounded that this occurred - Gilroy is a small farming community, and this festival is a great yearly event for locals, families and food lovers. Is no place safe anymore? This is crazy
