They didn't ask for ssn, just name, address & basic info. Took less then 2 minutes & my check will come in the mail.

They already have my info, asking again seems redundant and I don't trust them to protect me from further hacking. They should offer relief automatically.

They are horrible, & we have no choice. Trying to get a mistake fixed is a royal pain. I had to prove I wasn't dead, years ago. It would have been easier to prove I was dead. There is no "Nope, she's alive" certification @ the courthouse. I consider the $125 partial payback.

Do you have credit Karma or credit sesame? If so you have monitoring and are allowed to collect check.

$125 or 10 years of monitoring for my SSN being compromised for rest of my life doesn't seem like a fair trade off. This "penalty" isn't nearly punitive enough for
