For too long, the government has profited off of those investing in their education. Our focus should be on helping students succeed—not weighing them down with debt.

My son and his girlfriend have $100,000 in student loan debt. Highest degrees for both are bachelors. She's teaches and he loads trucks at a local grocery chain. How can you get married and start a family with barely enough money to survive?
Don't take out the loans in the first place would be a great start. Secondly would be not paying $100k for undergrad degrees. Thirdly would be having some sort of sense if self-reliance and individual responsibility. Pretty far down on the list is begging other people to pay.
Get the private for-profit loan sharks out of the business of student loans.
The Government should look at it as an investment in a vibrant society
Education should not be a profit center, whether it’s Betsy & Friends’ k-12 charters, or future-crushing college loans.
Start an impeachment inquiry already
Senate won't impeach. Public forgets too easily. Save Watergate style hearings for next summer. Make sure Pence is investigated too, otherwise Ford scenario.
