The trivialization of prayer is the bedrock of your ability to attack our constitutional rights. You’ll need even more thoughts and prayers when you ultimately turn responsible gun owners into victims, and I’ll be praying for you and for them.

Not to trivialize prayer, but it shouldn't be relied upon exclusively when effective, concrete, broadly supported action can be taken in conjunction. And obviously, background checks are NO threat to law-abiding gun owners.
