I was 10 when Iraq sent Scud missiles into Israel. I was confused & asked my Dad who Israel was and why we’d defend them. “They’re one of our best friends in the world. And you always stand with your friends.” I’m still for this partnership today & anyone seeking to strengthen it

Then you need to stand up to Netanyahu and the Israeli land grab. Real friendships are a two-way street. In this one, the US continually gives, and Israel continually takes, without reciprocation. Not a friendship. And speaking against Israel is NOT anti-Semitic. Grow up!!

I totally agree with you. I've been quite disgusted with Netanyahu's behavior as well as Israel's interference in US politics. Friendship has to be earned and their behavior has been counterproductive towards peace.

Being a good friend also means calling your friend out when they are wrong and/or mistreating others. You don't have to be hateful and because you called them out doesn't mean you don't value them as a friend. I really don't see this as any different.

They aren’t mistreating anyone, there’s a record number of Arab Israelis in Israeli universities/Knesset, everyone living in Israel has equal rights, sorry the governments of the West Bank and Gaza Strip are terrorist financiers and an actual terrorist organization respectively

Israel yes. Netanyahu? He's as corrupt as 45 and is involved in all the nefarious dealings with Saudi Arabia, Russia and 45.

Yes, but just like I criticize our government, the UK's government, and other allies, I have a Constitutional right to criticize Netanyahu's government.

Out of fear of being accused of anti-Semitism, many US politicians are simply afraid to be critical of the Israeli govt, even when it is in the wrong. This gives Israel incredible and wholly unacceptable leverage over the US govt.

One of my best friends was asked to stop coming to my home. He was publicly drunk all the time in front of my kid. When she asked where he was, I said he's my best friend but sometimes being a good friend means standing up to your friends when they do something wrong.
