There is a lot we learned from the #TrumpShutdown, but I hope it’s clear to all of us now just how many Americans live paycheck to paycheck. It doesn’t matter if the stock market is surging. If it’s not helping working people, it’s not enough. Let’s work to raise wages.

Raising wages helps. But, what also MUST happen is stronger taxation of the "super rich", we have to narrow the gap of wealth inequality - prop the middle class up, bring the rich down a few notches!

Their "high score" can come down a few digits to help people who'd rather live off those numbers than brag about them.

I don't my landlord with GDP, I pay them with what I take home. I'm not too bad off, but my wages have been lagging inflation for years. I'm college educated and have an in demand career.

The Stock Market isn't the economy. It never has been. It can surge all it wants. It's never going to improve the lives of people who make just enough to pay the bills they have - let alone any emergencies that spring up because of the greedy crooks in the White House.

Let’s teach people how to manage their money. Save for the future. Not give all of their taxes to everyone else who aren’t making good choices. Or be taxed at the highest level for goods and services to make sure they cover everyone due to sanctuary status. Start with CA.

This is a great point. People need to spend responsibly. Too many want stuff now and are you into immediate gratification, leading to bigger long term problems. The end of credit cards could fix that, but sadly it would kill our economy.

It has been clear to most of us for ages. Unfortunately, most *regular* people do not have the funds to run for Congress or the Senate. The top 2% is in no way in touch with the everyday challenges of #AverageJoe. Take the money out of politics. #EndCitizensUnited
