If this is true, how can we claim to be a democracy when one person has the power to wreak this kind of havoc against the will of the people.? If the president actually has this kind of unilateral power, then it's time for the Congress to correct this systemic flaw.

The House could have forced a vote to override it...the GOP "leadership" didn't allow that to happen.

Last I checked, it was the Democrats who caused the shutdown...and strangely, we aren’t seeing any stories of families who are feeling “pain” AS THEY HAVENT MISSED A PAYCHECK AT THIS POINT and many just had a free Christmas vacation.

@RepSwalwell - You're the one on the wrong side of math. The Constitution creates three co-equal branches. Congress is one, Trump is another, because all executive power is vested in the president by the Constitution. Your choices: amend the Constitution, or accept reality. -
@realDonaldTrump was elected to serve
- when he disregards the vote of the entire congress because of a vastly unpopular vanity wall he behaves like the despot our founders warned us about. We are governed by a mad king that puts Russian interests 1st. #ImpeachTrump - 2 more replies
