Me. Pretty close. And I work a professional job with good pay... a single mom with two kids and a very expensive location. I’m one emergency away from disaster and there’s never more than $50-$100 left the day before I get paid.

My daughter has a learning disability, goes to a special school (expensive, even with generous aid). She has a mental health issue (therapists cost $, meds are $80/mo copay). Oh, and a $4,800 deductible on my health insurance before they pay a dime. Even good pay doesn’t go far.

We live paycheck to paycheck, Senator. And my husband is an HVAC engineer & I’m a teacher. We still barely make ends meet.

Thank you both. For heating and cooling our homes and preparing our kids.

I totally agree. The working people I know in Washington are couples who both have Government jobs. Tell me how they are supporting their families at the most expensive time of year? Most people get bonuses and our government takes away people's livelihoods. Pure selfish meaness
