Wrong. Just assault weapons. Keep rifles, shotguns, pistols (if you’re not a criminal and not mentally ill). Basically, the weapons that allow you to hunt, shoot for sport, and protect your house.

No. I prosecuted those gun crimes. The guns too often come from neighbors like Arizona and Nevada with weak laws. We are as safe as the porous borders around us. Make the laws federal, then we get safer.

Respectfully, I must disagree. NYS changed punishments for gun crimes, and it has only served to incarcerate more people. There are federal gun laws/crimes already. Think out of the box. There must be a different way. Banning assault weapons would be a great start.
