Just met with local Sikh leaders in #Fremont, California. One leader told me “Our temples are open to everyone. We don’t want armed guards.” Perhaps instead we should disarm criminals and take the most dangerous weapons from the most dangerous people? #EnoughIsEnough

Sikhs are awesome. Any community should be happy to welcome them and embrace their presence. During the evacuations due to Oroville Dam breach scare they opened their doors to their neighbors.

I lived next to a Sikh family in Tallahassee. They were great neighbors (and the wife/mom a great cook). I've had a soft spot for Sikhs ever since

We used to have a Sikh restaurant in Reno called the Golden Temple. Great vegetarian fair and the best fresh juices and lassi. Mmmmm, salivating just thinking about it.

It's a shame that Americans aren't more curious about other cultures. It's our loss.

Maybe that could be possible if Russia stopped funneling money through the NRA to buy off most of Congress!!

Our 9yo is still super bummed we moved across the street and have a new voting place. Our old spot was at the Sikh temple on gurdwara. They had amazing hot tea and cookies for everyone and the the kindest people. If only the rest of the country could see what we see here. #CA15

Trump is a lazy thinker. He lacks the analytical cognitive skills to ever problem solve for the long term. He never does even the foundational homework so essential for good analysis & synthesis. Guns at the door does not work. Trump offers simple primitive pseudo solutions.

Exactly! Went to a Sikh temple with my daughter for the first time for religion class. The assignment was to go to a non-western place of worship. What a beautiful experience. What nice people who helped us assimilate. What happy music. Such a positive place.
