Every time I see a homeless person I think about the fact that someone loves them and worries about them. I try to help them and treat them with respect.

I saw something a couple of winters ago. It was a freezing New England day. I saw a woman get out of her car and literally strip off her coat and help a homeless woman put it on. She then handed her some money. She held her hand up as if to ward off thanks. I burst into tears..

It’s the lives we touch, the ones we never know about, that often have the most impact...

I put together a box last year for a women's shelter. I put in new, packaged socks & underwear, hygiene products, and freshly cleaned clothing I no longer wore. I tossed in a sealed box of chocolates. I will never know who benefitted, but I am glad I did it.

Socks are the number one wish the homeless need. Bless you!!

Costco is great for socks & undies. I am doing the box again this year. It's so easy for me, and so needed by others. And we take our coats & jackets to a drop box at our market. They offer them every winter.

This is one of the most profoundly moving tweets I’ve seen on this hellhole of a site.

The homeless man would’ve been moved someone had done something rather than just acknowledge his plight.

Okay Daniel downer. He was bringing home a 2 day old baby, A. B, he l DOES do stuff when he's not, you know, transporting a newborn. C, he may have inspired others to so something, which should not be ignored. But sure, your self righteousness is doing heaps of good.

Dang it. My annoyance blinded me to weird phone corrections. Well, ya'll got the idea.

Reminds me of a time where my father brought me to meet a man who was homeless under a bridge close to our home. He too, was a vet and we spent time to listen to what he needed and learn about the barriers to those needs. Major growth experience. Thank you for paying attention

Congratulations Rep Swalwell! With you as her father, your daughter will surely grow up to be one who helps those less fortunate.
