I was out knocking doors for voter registration outside of Phoenix the other day, and the vibe has definitely shifted. In the past, people would peer out of their door and either say no thanks, I’m already registered, or just no thanks. This time, people wanted to really engage.
This weekend I thanked a constituent for coming to my town hall. “I didn’t come for myself, I came for my grandson” he said. I’ve heard that so often lately. People know what’s on the line and whose future we are all fighting for.
