133 Democrats refuse to vote “yes” or “no” on a motion supporting ICE, for fear of alianting their base. Instead, they voted “present.” 34 progressives vote no (they want to abolish ICE) and 18 more pragmatic minded Ds voted “yes.”
I voted no. I don’t want to abolish ICE. But I don’t want to praise them while families are still separated. I want to abolish policies that rip a baby from a mom. I want to abolish the leaders who let this happen. If we get rid of both of those, we get rid of the problem.

Only way to stop seperations is to enforce and toughen the laws we already have. It needs to be made abundantly clear that if you come to the U.S. illegally, you will not get to stay. Blame those at the helm of this debacle. The senate, Obama admin, and sanctuary cities.
