We need to be providing our Ukrainian allies with proper defense capabilities to help them prevail against Russia’s brutal aggression – and that includes F-16s. I’m working with my colleagues, both Republicans and Democrats, to make it happen.

We need to have meaningful conversations about spending—but holding the economy hostage to push through extreme cuts that will harm my constituents is not the way to do it. I can’t support a proposal that threatens health care, veterans’ benefits, and jobs in #PA07.

Putting money back in parents’ pockets, raising wages for hardworking care providers, and giving kids more quality early childhood education – that’s working for people. And that’s why I’m working so hard to pass the Child Care for Working Families Act.

Very glad to partner with Rep. Thompson to re-introduce the EMS Counts Act: common-sense, bipartisan legislation to make certain that heroic EMS personnel can effectively respond to emergencies and protect our communities.

My father served in the Air Force—and I’m overjoyed to have gotten help tracking down his medals and records, thanks to my office’s Gold Star fellow. So, so incredibly special. If you’re looking for the records or medals of a loved one who served, please give my office a call.

My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the nine Lehigh Valley workers who lost their lives on the job this past year. On Workers Memorial Day—and every day—I stand with those fighting for the safe workplaces they deserve.

The #PACTAct is getting to work: since its passage last year, it expanded benefits for 193,897 veterans and survivors and provided 2,731,842 toxic exposure screenings. Proud to have helped pass this law to help fulfill our promise to the veterans who served our country.

Great news. Proud to have helped push the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration to protect Lehigh and Northampton County residents from potentially devastating, hazardous train derailments in our backyards.

Mack Trucks is a staple of the Lehigh Valley community. I was delighted to meet some of their employees last week for a conversation about what I can do to support their business and workers here in Congress.

Apprenticeship programs create opportunities to address the workforce shortage, connect workers with good-paying jobs, and grow our local economy. I’m proud to cosponsor the bipartisan National Apprenticeship Act of 2023, a win for our workers AND businesses.

Threatening to hold our economy hostage and put at risk the health care of 282,000+ people in #PA07 who rely on Medicare, Medicaid, or VA coverage? An unserious proposal. We need a clean debt ceiling increase that doesn’t harm working families, much less risk economic disaster.

Before I came to Congress, I was a working mom. I remember the time I brought my toddler to court with me due to short staffing at his child care center. We must pass the Child Care for Working Families Act, so no parent has to worry about lacking affordable, reliable child care.

Child care is unaffordable or unavailable for too many. This bill will help open more care providers and lower parents’ costs—& it’ll raise wages for care providers to increase retention rates & keep their doors open. For the working families in #PA07 & beyond, let’s get it done!

Over half my office’s constituent service cases deal with delayed tax returns due to back up at the IRS. This good news about improved customer service at the IRS is exactly why I voted for the #InflationReductionAct—to make govt work for you & put $$$ back in your pocket faster.

Defaulting on our debt and sending the world into a recession is not a negotiation chip. This is about avoiding a self-inflicted economic meltdown that threatens America’s standing in the world—we need a clean debt ceiling increase.

I just voted “NO” on limiting our economic potential by threatening a recession, saving the ultra-wealthiest money, and growing the gap between wealthy & working class. This bill is a reckless threat to our economy that’ll hurt Pennsylvania working families—I can’t support that.
“This bill does an excellent job of highlighting the priorities of extreme D.C. Republicans: defunding schools, defunding law enforcement, and jeopardizing health care for veterans and seniors all while making it easier for the ultra-rich to cheat their way out of their fair share of taxes. I can see why they called it the ‘Limit, Save, Grow Act’ -- it limits America’s economic potential by threatening a recession, saves the ultra-wealthy money, and grows the gap between wealthy and working class.”

Rural hospitals face difficulties in not just keeping their doors open, but in training the next generation of rural health care workers. My bipartisan bill would change that by ensuring rural hospitals have the resources needed to serve our communities.
