I salute you for calling out one of the root causes: backlog of hearings. But you need to keep the heat on this admin for its cruel, inhuman and deeply racist policies. Trump created this crisis on purpose purely to cause pain as a deterrent. The US was supposed to be better.

Steve, thank you for trying to address this part of the crisis. An even better solution would be to send aid to the countries that these asylum seekers are fleeing from. Cutting off aid is only hurting the citizens of these countries and causing them to flee.
