HR 5714 follows months of negotiation and compromise between @jasoninthehouse @RepCummings @RepMarkMeadows @GerryConnolly and I.

Developed bipartisan postal bill focused on commonsense reform that we agree would place the postal service on more stable financial footing

Like any agreement, H.R. 5714 is not perfect & I welcome additional feedback from postal stakeholders and members on both sides of the aisle

Believe this bill provides us with a key opportunity to address some of the most outstanding challenges facing @USPS.

We cannot continue the status quo of net losses and a decline in first-class mail volume.
