I thank @repjohnlewis. I am a rules guy so I had trouble with the idea of a sit in in the House of Representatives in the U.S. Congress

But when they shut off microphone/cameras wouldn't let Members stand up for people out there, well then its time to get in some good trouble

We are asking for modest changes by calling for a vote on these three bills. Three bills I happen to be a cosponsor of.

This whole fight is to talk about these bills and have a vote on them. We want open debate on the floor of the people's house.

The first bill is pretty simple – people on the terrorist watchlist shouldn’t have access to weapons.

The second bill says we should check on the background of people to determine they can handle the responsibility of having a weapon.

And the third bill says that the CDC should do a study on gun violence as a health issue because we are losing so many Americans to it.
