Massachusetts lost over 1,500 lives to opioids last year, a tragic epidemic that has swept the entire Nation. I am pleased to report the Funding Bill that we passed tonight includes $347M for local grant programs to help address the opioid crisis.

$300,000,000 is something, and it sure isn’t a drop in the bucket. It will have a positive effect on our communities. If we didn’t have people like Congressman Lynch fighting for each $, we’d have 0. Purdue Pharma was already a billion dollar company prior to its opiate push.
