Today the Subcommittee on Aviation held our first hearing about the impacts of President Trump’s shutdown on U.S. Aviation where I spoke in strong support of H.R. 1108, which would allow the airline industry to operate during government shutdowns. @TransportDems

The lapse in federal funding burdened our overworked, unpaid FAA employees and disrupted safety-related work. H.R. 1108 will ensure that doesn’t happen again by providing funding from the Airport and Airway Trust Fund for all FAA activities in the event of a government shutdown.
