Today the Supreme Court ruled against unions’ right to collect fees for services they are required to provide to all workers.
This decision undermines decades of precedent that protects the freedom of public service workers like teachers, police officers, and firefighters to negotiate for fair pay and safe workplaces. Unions are a force for good and are critical to rebuilding the middle class.
I will continue to fight to ensure that workers have dignity, fairness, and a strong voice in the workplace.
