10 years ago, the STOCK Act became law to end insider trading by Members of Congress. Today, we still see lawmakers making a quick buck off suspiciously well-timed trades.
I’d say the STOCK Act didn’t work.
We must ban lawmakers from trading individual stocks while in office.

I am leading the TRUST in Congress Act to do exactly that — ban Members of Congress, their spouses, and their dependent children from buying, trading, or selling individual stocks while serving the American people.
This is how we actually put an end to this impropriety.

Yes, members of Congress shouldn’t be allowed to trade stocks, but could you tell me the names of stocks that I should buy?

If they can’t profit from their political positions, I’ll bet many refuse to run for re-election and we will get a better quality candidate whose goal is public service not getting rich.
