So your point is: it won’t stop ALL shootings so we won’t try at all? Is that how you feel about bank robbery too? Making it illegal won’t stop people from robbing banks so why bother?

So by that logic are we only concerned by “mass shootings”? At this moment the next shooter can walk into a gun show and purchases as much as they can afford, without any background check. That says we need to improve our background check system.

It's a step. Feel free to introduce more legislation to increase gun regulation. As your constituent, I support your apparently newfound drive for increased and stricter gun regulation! A welcome and overdue shift from you!
