I can agree with the sentiment Mr. Smucker. Parents and students should be able to choose where their students go to school. But that does not mean that funding for public schools should decrease. Quite the opposite. We need to increase funding for public schools, increase pay...

Except that’s how public charters make money: the per student funding that would go to the charter and not to the student’s home district. Charters work by defunding the public system. Lincoln and YARCS are the only charters left in York City for a reason.

Money does not change things. Schools that get the most finding often are lower performing. Many states that have huge education budgets do not fair better. That's a strawman
