I'm glad the author of this letter had a positive experience personally with our elected Member of Congress. That doesn't excuse @RepSmucker from showing up in public and answering to his constituents in a public setting.

The scenario of a town hall where Congressman Smucker is unable to talk or answer questions is imaginary and has no basis in real-life evidence. First of all, Congressman Smucker has never once held a public town hall meeting, so how would he know?
