There are many reasons why discussing classified information is bad, but one of the worst is that it puts the lives of others at risk.

And it’s not just about this one story: when someone who helps provide information to our government fears for their life, it causes a chilling effect on potential sources around the world, who often take great risk to do so. It leaves us less informed, and less safe.
