Today I cast a vote for a livable wage. I firmly believe that if you work 40 hours a week and play by the rules, you should be able to live outside of poverty.

I am delighted to see recognition of the flat wages for most of the working people in America. It is time to prioritize the working-poor and let them earn a decent, living wage. Who can possibly be against this? Business got ~$2T tax break to invest in their workforces.pic.twitter.com/a50HHuUC0B

It’s been a while, so l had to work my way through this. But it looks like demand goes down when price is set artificially high. I suspect this will mean less jobs for those who don’t have a resumé that justifies $15 per hour.pic.twitter.com/CJdb3sX2da

The high schoolers working at McDonald’s appreciate your vote. Not the person working 40 hours per week and playing by the rules. In fact, the latter person might lose their job or get their hours cut.
