Let me be clear: providing adequate nutrition, hygiene and bathroom facilities to migrant children in our care is the bare minimum of what we must do, and it’s shameful that we must introduce this legislation at all.

We can secure our borders and treat migrants humanely. Those things aren't mutually exclusive, & anyone who says they are doesn’t understand our nation’s values. I think it's so sad that we have gotten to a point where a bill like this is necessary, but thank you for putting it together. Hopefully Mitch will let the Senate vote on this and we can start to help the humanitarian crisis we have in these facilities. Great explanation too.
