The U.S. always retains the right to self-defense, but we owe it to our military — and ourselves, as a nation who has been at war in the Middle East for 18 years — to be responsible and exhaust all options, short of war.
Also: we do a piss-poor job of caring for the combat Veterans who exist because of the past 18 years; we should not be creating more combat veterans until we manage to take adequate care of the ones we already have.
Self-defense does NOT apply to drones.
