It's my firm belief that we need to begin talking about these environmental security issues for what they are: homeland security issues – because they're about the safety and security of our kids.

It is unfortunate that this ever happened but at least the state is following through as fast as possible. They are reporting completion by 2019. Over 90 percent of the area is safe again with better test results than required by federal government. Now for the rest of our water

If it were my family who suffered lead poisoning because the E.M. and the DEQ told us our water was safe, my B.S. bar would be really low right down there with how much I trust what I’m now being told.

That holds true on so many levels of government. The thing I find interesting is that even though an emergency manager made the call why didnt the operators/people in charge throw up red flags to the epa? They have taken water from the Flint river many times over the last 40years
