I recall reading that President Obama remembered his mother, who died from uterine cancer, having to argue with insurers about coverage while she was dying of cancer. His support of the ACA was to honor her memory.
My mom passed away in 2011 of ovarian cancer after struggling to afford health insurance for years due to her pre-existing condition. The problem with the ACA in Trump's eyes is the tag line "ObamaCare". If it was called "Trump Care" he'd say it was the best ever. Watch him and his cohorts submit an identical plan with private insurers management and price controls on prescription drugs...
