I understand the sentiment, but paying Reps during govt shutdown is critical, especially for reps who come from modest means who may not be able to fund their lives in DC or otherwise. It’s those persons who m would be directly disadvantaged.
I fundamentally disagree with the policy that allows Members of Congress to receive a salary during the government shutdown while Federal workers continue to go without pay. Until it re-opens, I will be donating my paycheck:pic.twitter.com/gOYTndYtpL

You shouldn't have to do this but thank you for being principled. DO NOT feel pressured to cave to Trump's temper tantrum. Just because Dems are the adults in the room, they don't have to clean up this fiasco. Make Mitch and Senate Rs do their job!
