I have to say, I was disappointed in all of the Democrats who cast a symbolic vote. Present or otherwise. Once again the Democrats fall on the sword and the Republicans fell inline.

I am so disappointed that you did not vote for Pelosi for speaker. The GOP vilified her for years and you gave the misogyny credence. We older women worked to elect you and I will be watching your actions going forward. Please do better.

As another "older woman" who voted to elect her, I am proud she kept her promise to not vote for Pelosi. She has to listen to all her constituents and many of them were uncomfortable. As for me, I love Pelosi and am happy for this outcome. It seems like a win-win. Promise kept.
