We must hold the Cuban regime accountable for its support of the illegitimate Maduro, however, the Administration’s latest policies will do more harm than good for Cuban-Americans and their family members on the island.https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/cuba/article231152838.html …

#Cuba

I totally agree with you that these political moves by the Trump administration will only hurt the Cuban people. Is Trump taking the same action against Russia. I think not. #CubaTravelRestrictions

Since January 2017, 217 Russian business people, officials, and private and state-run companies, including 14 banks and 20 energy firms, have been sanctioned. In addition, they recalled that the administration had expelled 60 Russian spies and closed Russia's consulates

A better option is to help organize a 20000 strong Venezuelan police force and help it take a portion of the country to introduce humanitarian aid. This would be done under Venezuelan constitution Articles 333 and 350. I imagine the pro Castro Democratic party will oppose it.

It is called "collateral damage" and is a way to try to stop the Cuban regime and its occupation in Venezuela. Although I think it would be much better to apply more forceful actions.

That is completely untrue. To defend the Castro-Canel dictatorship from these restrictions is to condone its violent aggression in Venezuela, Nicaragua & the hemisphere. The communist regime controls almost all tourism sector & FX proceeds go almost exclusively to fund military.

Obama’s policy of appeasement towards the Castro-Canel & Maduro dictatorships, including allowing travel that enriched the Cuban military, gave both regimes a lifeline and emboldened them to sharply increase violence, oppression, and destabilization in our hemisphere.

Capitalism is our biggest weapon. With China in the mix, how can you think that more of the same will somehow reap a different outcome? Putting aside the role that Cuba plays in Venezuela, how are these policies helping the Cuban people? Typed on an phone assembled in China.
