This debt will put pressure on interest rates and crowd out private investment. In time, that will cripple our ability to respond to emergencies, defend our country & invest in our future and it will slow economic growth. 2/

I’m glad we are funding the military, community health centers, opioid strategies and disaster relief- all of which I’ve been working for. But we have to pay for it, not always borrow for it. 3/

Some people have called this bill “drunken sailor” spending, but as a San Diegan, I have too much respect for drunken sailors to associate them with this. I will just say it’s super irresponsible. 4/

I would believe the fiscal discipline excuse if Dems had not just added 10 trillion in 8 years. Reality is you voted against the military (again) b/c Pelosi’s said to. No shame in that except when you are supposed to rep our district not her SF based agenda
